Charles of Lloyd is an upholstery studio based in Narrow Yard Studios, East London. We provide a bespoke upholstery service working with domestic customers, interior designers, furniture dealers and architects, bringing their concepts to life.
Who
Charlotte Hunt is a British designer working under the moniker Charles of Lloyd (COL). Following a 15 year career in fashion and brand licensing, it was time for change. Through a dIploma training option with the Association of Master Upholsterers, she is now a fully qualified upholsterer, graduating with distinction.
Charlotte is also a prize winning designer winning the 2017 Young Furniture Makers design category and best in show along with commendations in the Heico annual competition.
Where
From our design studio in Leyton east London, Charlotte and her team of AMUFS qualified upholsterers offer a wealth of possibilities in furniture restoration and furnishings.
An appreciation of quality and design are at the heart of the workshop, offering all the latest fabrics and trends from the worlds most prolific designers and manufacturers. We can help guide you on suitable fabrics, finishes and design considerations to ensure the best finish for your particular piece.
